I’m recently a self employed consultant, so I’m having to get used to being completely self motivated. I set goals for myself, and some days I kill it, some days I don’t. Some days I just feel like relaxing or taking a long hike. I’ve got some tasks on my todo list that I’ve been putting off.
The problem is, I feel like by being hard on myself for not killing it every day, I’m actually hurting my motivation overall. If I don’t see the results I was hoping for, I start to despair, and my head gets filled with negative thoughts.
How can I be more accepting of myself, and accept that it’s ok not to be on my A game every day?
