[Text] At any moment, there is only one thing you can do, and that is all you need to do. Pick it wisely and there is no need to worry about the past or the future since you are already acting optimally.

I just had this thought strike me and wanted to share. Life is stressful, there are zillions of things in our head; long-term, medium term, short-term goals, responsibilities etc. But, when you think about it, at any given time, you need to do only one thing. Like for example, your day is going to be very busy, but, right now, you are taking the shower. You can't do your day's work in the shower, so there is no point thinking and stressing about them. While taking shower, just take shower, and try to savor the time as much as possible. Same with eating, driving, shitting whatever. Even when you are working on Task 1, as per your plan and schedule, doing Task 1 is all you need to do at that time. You are acting optimally, and there is nothing more that can be done. The crux of this liberating thought is that we are only responsible for the current moment; we dont' need to stress about a large period of future time (or what happened in the past), just do that one thing that you need to do now, and that's all.

Not sure if I explained myself clearly, but I hope you can get some sense of what I am trying to say.
