[Tool] You can't find motivation

You can't find motivation. You have to CREATE motivation.

This is a beautiful subreddit to read and watch all kind of inspirational stuff. But tha'ts it. It's inspiration. Just that.

There will be things that have 20.000 upvotes and won't make anything to YOU. Then you will find a post with 8 upvotes, but that touches you so deeply that you will never, ever be the same again.

If you want to be an ever-going machine, you will seek for inspirtation, but only as a tool to CREATE your own motivation. Nobody, no one else, knows you and what makes you tick. It is only you. That is why "know thyself" is the wisest thing you can do if you want to be able to motivate yourself at will.

Know thyself and create your own life motto. Know thyself and create your own motivation. You know what pushes you forward. You know what are the things that will destroy you if you don't become a better version of yourself.

Use /r/getmotivated to find things that awaken your soul, but then it is YOUR duty to CREATE those ideas and quotes that will fuel you in the darkest of nights and coldest of winters.

I have created a list of 10 short sentences that mean nothing to nobody else. Nobody has enough context for them to be anything more that cryptic words. But for me, they are pure kerosene. They are coal for the oven that is my soul.

Go seek what is the one thing that has the power to push you forward. Then find something else. And something else. Something else.

If you have only one reason to move forward, some day, someone or something will come across your path and convince you why that isn't a good enough reason and your motivation will die. But if you WORK to CREATE your OWN motivation, then you will have a repertoire of reasons that will resist the winds and floods of life.

Go be great. But first, go build your own reasons to be great.
