[Discussion]Understanding the social debt-system and gratitude.

I used to think people with some influence and power often feel that other people try to keep them indebted. I sensed this from childhood, my father, as a journalist helped many people in medical conditions or poverty and they are always grateful towards him, some often dropped fruits, other sweets and many their farm products, whatever they could part with, with a sense of gratitude. Few days ago i asked him if this is how the debt system works, that one indebts people by helping them and gets indebted inturn by seeking help, is there a particular hierarchy.

He then told me something which i find worth sharing, the organs of our body helps us, our stomach asks for food, our hands farm it, cook it and we consume with the help of our mouth. There is no debt-system in this, not one organ is indebted to other, it's just how we're supposed to function as a 'whole'.

The whole is important, if we picture the world as a whole, the debt-system vanishes and only gratitude remains. If we seek help, we are over-welhmed with gratitude and not in debt to the person who helps us, this gratitude aids us in helping others, the organs of the whole. The debt-system makes us burdened, many a people hesiste asking help, many hesitate providing it based on how fruitful the consequences will be, how much indebted can we afford to get and how a certain social-debt will help in the future.

I think the gratitude perspective makes things easier and creates a chain reaction in which the world as a whole benefits.
